Call for Abstract

Academics, researchers, practitioners, thought leaders and anyone else interested in sharing insights on one of the NHEF 2020 subthemes – “Policy considerations for driving Nigeria’s global competitiveness through higher education”- are invited to submit an abstract for consideration.

Guidelines

  1. The abstract should focus on three key elements:
  • Funding
  • Governance
  • Research and Development
  1. The abstract should not be less than 300 words and not more than 500 words.
  2. Typed in Calibri font, font size 11 and 1.5 line spacing.
  3. Emailed to nhef@cheid.org, with subject “ABSTRACT”.
  4. Must be emailed not later than 31 January 2020.
  5. Author’s contact details: email, phone number(s) and institution/organisation, should be included in the header.
  6. Three Authors whose abstract are selected would be contact before February 15, 2020.
  7. One out of the shortlisted authors will eventually be invited to make a short presentation at the NHEF 2020, which is scheduled for 24-25 March.
  8. Multiple entries are not accepted, we only accept one abstract per author.

Post Conference Publication

After the Forum, the two other shortlisted authors may be invited to co-author or make input to the final abstract presented at the conference with the view to enriching the work. The updated (co-authored) work submitted after the conference will be sent to independent reviewers for possible revision.

The final work will be published in the NHEF 2020 Report and, equally, it will be published on the Centre for Higher Education, Innovation and Development website(s) and associated platforms.

This process is expected to be concluded within 90 days post conference.
